Meet the team

Fiona has wide ranging experience having completed locum roles in Ireland, England and even Swaziland in South Africa! She has worked in fully private practices in London as well as led the team of dentists at a Boots Dental Practice in London. Fiona was also the in-house dentist at Marks & Spencers Head Office in London.

You will find Fiona has a relaxing and highly professional style and her considerable experience means she can advise on and provide the whole range of restorative and cosmetic dentistry available today.

After graduating, Rita worked in a very busy, progressive practice in the north east of England, before returning home to Northern Ireland in 1998. For the past 10 years, Rita has been working in Ballymena. Almost 8 of those years have been spent as a partner in Smiles Dental Care.

Rita has gained considerable knowledge and experience in many areas of dentistry through comprehensive post graduate training over the past 15 years.

When not running around a busy dental practice, Rita spends her time running the roads and entering the occasional marathon!

Known as Jill, Jill qualified from Queen’s University Belfast in 2017, she carried out her VT year in Kilkeel, before moving to Larne to work in a busy NHS practice.

She joined the Smiles team in September 2019, and is enjoying working within the team at the practice.

In her spare time, Jill likes to sing and is part of the Belfast Operatic Company, she also to spend her free time travelling.

Eimear has joined us a Private Locum Dentist having previously worked in a private practice in Cambridge providing general dentistry along with Invisalign, composite bonding, minor oral surgery and facial aesthetics.

Eimear is a hard-working and caring dentist who is committed to achieving and maintaining high standards of care for patients while striving to make dental treatment as relaxing and pleasant as possible.

In her spare time Eimear is a keen cyclist and fitness enthusiast. She also enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.

Melissa has joined us an NHS and Private Locum Dentist having previously worked for 5 years in NHS practices in England. Melissa has a keen interest in minimally invasive dentistry, providing mini smile makeovers using Invisalign and composite bonding.

Melissa is a confident and caring dentist who is committed to achieving and maintaining high standards of care for patients.

In her spare time Melissa likes to bake and spend time with her new puppy.
